Overview
Interview Scheduler is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide our scheduling service.
What We Collect
For Consultants (Account Holders)
- Email address - For account login and notifications
- Name - For display within your projects
- Timezone - For accurate scheduling
- Calendar availability - Only busy/free times, synced from your connected calendar
Note: Passwords are securely hashed using industry-standard encryption and cannot be viewed or retrieved by anyone, including us.
For Clients (Invitees)
- Email - Provided by the consultant who invites you
- Display name - What you choose to be called
- Timezone - For scheduling in your local time
- Calendar busy/free times only - We never see event titles, descriptions, attendees, or any other details
What We Do NOT Collect
- Event titles or descriptions from your calendar
- Attendee information from your calendar events
- Location data from your calendar
- Any calendar data beyond busy/free time blocks
Calendar Integration
When you connect your Google or Microsoft calendar, we request only the minimum permission needed: free/busy access. This means we can only see when you are busy or free, not any details about your events.
Your calendar credentials are encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption and are only used to check your availability during the scheduling process.
Data Retention
- Availability data is deleted when a project is completed
- You can disconnect your calendar and delete your data at any time
- Calendar tokens are deleted immediately upon disconnection
Data Security
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS
- OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM
- We use secure, httpOnly cookies for authentication
- Database access is restricted and encrypted
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Vercel - Hosting and deployment
- Neon - Database hosting
- Google Calendar API - Calendar integration (if you choose to connect)
- Microsoft Graph API - Calendar integration (if you choose to connect)
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data
- Delete your data
- Disconnect calendar integrations at any time
- Request a copy of your data
